Black and White day petition

There is an online petition to try and make the black and white day which took place after the Alan Shearer testimonial game an annual event.
I hope it is expanded to include a wide range of activities fron Newcastle-Gateshead and Tyneside generally.

I've already signed it but I think we should have a Tyneside festival one day every year, where everyone takes the day off work and gets pissed.

There should definitely be a Bank Holiday every time England play in the World Cup. Unlikely to be more than 3 or 4 days each time, mind. So no problems there.

I sometimes think after england get knocked out in the q/f (as usually  do) at least then we can watch the teams who play with skill.
