Do You believe in Ghosts?

Do you believe in ghosts?

I'm sat here chitting myself cos im on me own.

My 11 year old son has seen black shadows upstairs.  I saw one in my kitchen the other night.  Definately wasnt a shadow cos it was moving faster than me.  I was walking toward the kettle when i seen the reflection in the window.  I just put it down to my late hubby racing me to the kettle (he was a tea-aholic).

Anyone else had any spooky experiences?

A wud hav bin cacking mesel! The only thing a can rememba is when a wos a bout 5 a wos lying in bed wi the light of when something came up from the matress n grabbed me right round the middle from armpit to hip. A remember running from the room when it let go t ma parents, probably a dream but it felt real at the time n has stuck wi me. Had a couple of dreams come true where a dreampt ma cat who'd bin missing 2.5 weeks came running in the back gate then back door, next day it did exactly that, poor b*gger was skin n bone, think it had bin locked in a shed or something. Also when ma uncle was taken to hospita wi pneumonia, only 58 and not thort t be that bad, but I dreampt that night he died and was woken by the phone next morning wi the news he had. Conicidence am sure but makes y think!  ???

My 11 year old  came in to my room on 11th Jan at 6:30am really sobbing his heart out.  I asked what was wrong to which he replied, I had a dream  that dad had died.  It took me ages to convince him that his dad was fine, told him to go downstairs to see for himself (my hubby couldnt get up the stairs so slept downstairs).  He was over the moon once he saw his dad.  On 12th Jan at 7am my hubby woke me up (he had an intercom to wake me if needed) and asked me to get an ambulance as he wasnt feeling well.  He died at 11:20am.

I spoke to a medium that i see and she said, kids see things that adults dont.  As you get older, you block out things like that.  Now though, my son wont go upstairs on his own as he's too scared and my house always looks like blackpool illuminations as he feels safer with all the lights on.  He hasnt seen anything else for a couple of weeks now thankfully.

So your dreams have been a sort of like softener for you. They cushion the blow.

That is sad. How is he coping now, your son, was it just this year? A think ya right about bairns being more sensative n a think ya do have t have a open mind about it. Av neva tried mediums or owt but a do believe there is something else. There wos a program about a boy of about 5 in Scotland who would talk about his other mam and dad when he lived on an island of the coast. The took him there n he knew the place, tho the couldn't prove who his parents were they couldn't prove it might not be true. Love all the fictional stuff like that, Afterlife, Sea Of Souls...... :)

Good to hear.
My son is 11 on the 23rd, he's an apprentice teenager, not the stroppy type but dozy falls over his own shadow kind.  :)

Welcome back. I've watched Most Haunted a couple o times but the only ghostly thing was when the kept a camera on a dinning chair in a haunted house overnight and when speeded up it moved around. Could have been fixed but a do believe there's something.  :)

Glad i'm not the only one that believes theres something else.

I tried giving my son excuses for the black shadows he was seeing until i saw one for myself.

Maybe we could be the new X files, 'Geordie Files', Northumbrian you could take the sceptic Scully type role and me and Cuppa could witness all the weird happenings when Scully faints/is injured/halloucinates(?) or misses them for whatever reason! I saw a ghost today, the ghost of Glenn Roeder at SJP ha ha! ;D
