June Holmes has written a biographical overview of Thomas Bewick (1753-1828) - wood engraver, naturalist and Northumberland's greatest artist. The Bewick Society holds its Annual General Meeting each September in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The Pease Collection is the premiere collection in the world for Bewick materials. It is part of the Local Studies collection at the Central Library in Newcastle.
