There was a programme on the radio this afternoon about the Red Kites in the north east. www.northernkites.org.uk If you would like to visit an area where you may have a chance of seeing these magnificent birds catch the Go North East ‘red kite’ bus from Newcastle City Centre or the MetroCentre (numbers 45 and 46) that head into ‘kite country’ at Rowlands Gill.
