Wembley

With regards to the saga of the delays in the building of the new Wembley stadium. When the plans were first being drawn up for a new national stadium there was the opportunity of it being built in a central location which would have been be fair to all football fans in the country.
But of course as soon as London got its greedy hands on the project it was never going to be built anywhere else.
This discriminates against all North East football supporters it is very unfair that while fans of London and south east based clubs will be able to pop round the corner to watch games, North East fans will face a 500 or 600-mile round trip.
In the future all England matches, and important club games will be played at the new ground. Once again the interests of the people of London and the Southeast are looked after at the expense of people here.
There is no reason why people of this region should support England in future.
As someone else said previously the team should change its name to “London United” it would be more accurate.

I remember that there were suggestions to build the new ground in Birmingham due to it almost being central of the country.

But the lazy southerners cried on saying that it was too far to travel!!

They even complained about having to go to the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff for FA cup games etc because of the distance.

To me it just goes to show that the southerners aren't true football vans because they are afraid to actually travel to support their so called clubs.

Where-as it is a well known fact the northerners, Geordies especially  ;D, will travel due to being extremely passionate about football and other sports.

Signature is a work in progress

I remember when The Toon played spurs in an FA cup semi final a few years ago at Old Trafford and they sold only half as many tickets to the game as Newcastle.
They were whingeing that it was unfair that they had to travel north to play the game until it was pointed out that Manchester is only 10 miles further away from London as it is from Newcastle !
