Good crack!  If you'd seen some of the knackers that I've worked with...
Sometimes you think people only get jobs because the powers that be think it's better than having them roaming the streets - a sort of paid "care in the community" scheme

A used t work fo a mental health trust n a saw patients w more sense thn some a my fellow colleagues. Some th comments, a had one manager w good qualifications in charge of a lot o money come out w 'I don't know anything about geography, I don't even if China's got a coast' !!!!!!  ;D

I had a similar experience in front line housing management.  We had one woman that just made toast for the other staff all day, and another bloke that used to say he was off to do repair inspections and the b*gger off to the club for a couple of pints.  The managers were the worst though - it's always weird to see people promoted way beyond their ability. I reckon that's why The Office was so popular - far more fact than fiction in my experience

A neva watched that mesel but get ya point. Th amount of standin round chattin and deein nee work at mine is unbelievable, some one even admitted th amount o work th do fo their job it could be part time hours, that goes fo a lot o them. Th money wasted on art when it's a public transport system makes ma blood boil, th do get some grants but not fo all of it, th employ a fulltime artist! That's public money payin fo it n payin people to stand around n talk about tha night out, weddin plans, holidays........if people cud see it!!!  >:(
